The Last Bank Holiday

So it’s been a little while since I posted. Apologies for that, things have been crazy busy, mostly with work which has eaten into a lot of my creative energy. Of course we all have to work to afford to eat and keep a roof over our heads plus pay for nice things like new books and holidays. For my holiday this year I’ll be going to a festival in Portugal which I’m really looking forward to, though it isn’t ’till July so a little bit more waiting to do yet! I was in need of a bit of extra cash to use as spending money while I’m there as well as a few other things so I set out my intention to the universe and, as is usually this way, I was able to manifest the extra work I needed. This was certainly a good thing and I’m very appreciative of it but it has come at the expense of my writing, both on here and more importantly on my book. I just haven’t had the time or energy to dedicate to my creative outlets in the way I would have liked over the past two weeks but that’s the way of it sometimes and I’m certainly not going to dwell on the negative and beat myself up about it. I’m a firm believer that things usually happen as or when they are meant to and I’m looking forward to getting my teeth stick back into some writing this week so hopefully I’ll have some updates to send your way. It’s definitely a good week for pursuing my writing and hopefully bringing it a step closer to completion as it is the week of the The Flower Moon, May’s full moon which will be in Sagittarius. But more on that tomorrow.

In the mean time, I’ve been enjoying the final May bank holiday weekend and a much needed break. Today’s Tarot card was The Empress and I’ve been manifesting that energy by looking after household concerns, cleaning and making the house beautiful, gardening and cooking. This might not sound like the most restful or enjoyable way to spend time but after spending a lot of time out and about over the past two weeks I’ve really enjoyed a bit of time focused on my home and getting things back in order. Plus the weather has been glorious here after a bit of an uninspiring start this morning. Spending time outside and in the garden always makes me feel revitalised and at my most peaceful and relaxed. A great way to start the week. I’ll hopefully be posting a garden update later for anyone that shares my green-fingered interests.

Fingers crossed I’ll be back to posting a little bit more regular this week so catch you then. Wishing you all a lovely and blessed evening.

Sunday relaxation and week plans

Apologies for being a bit lax on the posts this week. I’ve been really ill with a bad cold and what little energy I’ve had has mostly been spent at work. My head has been super fuzzy so I’ve been struggling to get much writing done, both on here and more importantly on my book. Sometimes you have to know when it’s time to throw in the towel and take a break and the universe has certainly been telling me that this week! So we’ve had a quiet weekend, doing a few household and garden chores. My sister-in-law came by for a visit and brought me some Ironwort, also known as Greek Mountain Tea¬† to try and help me feel better. It seems to have worked because I am feeling a lot better today, although not fully there yet. I have a very busy work week up ahead so I’m trying my best to rest and convalesce in the hope that I will be back to full health ready for the dreaded Monday morning! Today I had a lie in, watched some TV in bed, spent time with my partner, had a bath and sat out in the garden for a bit reading my book of Celtic Myths and reading my Tarot cards for the week ahead. I just did a simple card-a-day spread for the next five days. The cards I got were:

Monday – The Hanged Man

Tuesday – 5 of Wands

Wednesday – The Fool

Thursday – Knight of Swords

Friday – King of Pentacles

As expected, it’s looking to be a busy, tough week with not much time for relaxing and creative pursuits but I’m sure the rewards will be worth it. It also looks like there could be lots of opportunity for fresh thinking and new ideas so hopefully that will be something to have some fun with.

For reasons I’ve already said I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to blog over the coming week but I’m hoping to be able to post at some point.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful relaxing Sunday and wishing you many blessings for the week ahead!
